Last day of 2011
2011 is almost over. I always find the end of a year a bit sad, but I'm excited about 2012! 2011 has been a great year, and I'm hoping 2012 will be even better. Tonight I will be celebrating with some good friends in Scotland, and I will miss all the lovely people who are celebrating on the prettiest farm in Norway..
In 2012 I will:
- take more photos
- get better at keeping in touch with people I don't see very often
- plan some girly weekends away
- explore new places
- dress up a lot
- wear pretty dresses and red lipstick
I'm sorry I haven't been very good at updating the blog recently. It's partly due to the fact that I've been travelling around without a camera and partly because I have felt very uninspired.
I'll try and get better at updating in the new year, but I need your help. What do you like reading about? What should I write about? Any wishes?
A very Happy New Year to all you lovely people out there!

So sorry that I haven't updated very frequently lately! It's been so busy these last few weeks, but it's all starting to calm down now. I have baked lots of cookies, Husband has chopped wood for the fire, we have watched the snow come and go again, and tonight we're listening to Christmas music and decorating the trea.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Thank you so much for reading my blog, and for all the lovely comments you make. I really, really appreciate each one!

On the weekend I had some lovely friends visiting, and we went to the Royal Opera House to see The Nutcracker. I had never seen it before, and it was just as magical as I had imagined!

It's December 13th, St Lucia's day, which is traditionally celebrated like this in Norway. Sadly I have been too busy to make 'Lussekatter', but I have been thinking of all the little children dressed in white, parading in the dark in Norway.

I love Christmas trees; the smell of the tree once it's been brought into the house, the way it looks with the lights on... In my family we've had a long tradition of going to the farm to pick out and cut down our own one. It's always great fun, except for the couple of years that we've been too ill to do it, and exciting to see who gets the best tree! I'm so looking forward to doing it this year with Husband.

Christmas in London is wonderful with all its Christmas markets, Christmas lights everywhere, mulled wine, Love Actually, mince pies and carols. But nothing beats proper Norwegian Christmas and all its lovely traditions; advent- tv, baking cookies, making candles, gløgg, marzipan, snow, nisser, making candy, watching Three Wishes for Cinderella, hearing Sølvguttene sing on tv, big family parties and everything else.
Which tradition is your favourite?
Peter Pan
